Swoon Romance is a digital-first imprint from Month9Books founder and publisher, Georgia McBride. Our first title, CAPTIVATED BY YOU by Amazon bestseller Diane Alberts, was published in November 2012. It went on to become a Barnes and Noble bestseller, reaching #31 on their list! Since then we have had 2 other titles in Amazon's top 100!

Submissions

Want to know what we want in a romance? We want to be dropped into a world, real or not, and feel like we've always known it was there, just around the corner of our imagination. We want to see relatable, flawed characters that surprise us with their depth and strength of heart. We want to feel everything the characters feel - every touch, every kiss, every look. And most of all, we want a story that takes our breath away, and makes us swoon. We accept novellas ranging from sweet to steamy with adult scenes 20k-30K words. Please, no adult scenes in YA works. We also accept full-length category romance novels in any genre from 40-80k words (ideal length is between 65-75k). Georgia McBride: Seeking NA and Adult in the vein of BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD (J. R. Ward), ON THE ISLAND (Tracey Garvis Graves), LOSING IT (Cora Carmack) and WALLBANGER (Alice Clayton). She likes a little humor infused with a deeply emotional story, and books that are only slightly paranormal or supernatural in nature.

Amy Garvey: Amy wants a heroine she can root for, one who's not afraid to be in charge of her life and her heart, and a hero who's too charming to resist but very much a real guy, too. She loves unique settings. For YA, she loves nerds and loners and guys with the weight of the world on their shoulders, and girls who are more interested in the things a boy says than the way he looks—but are most interested in figuring out what they want for themselves.

Mandy Schoen: Edgy YA, NA (particularly collegiate or home-for-the-summer settings, and paranormal), and Adult contemporary. She enjoys dual-narrative POVs, unique fairy-tale retellings, quirky female protags with heart, deeply flawed but redeemable men, and complex characters in familiar situations.
